About your experience
Meet your instructor to advise of your ability level — beginner, intermediate, or experienced. Get up-close to the quarter pinto horses, learning about this gentle breed. These sturdy, good-nature steeds are known for excelling at sprinting short distances . Next, listen to a short instructional brief by your local vaquero and and hop into the saddle. Learn to ease your horse and set out behind your instructor. Enjoy your 1.5- to 2-hour ride. Beginners ride slowly over easy terrain, with intermediate and experienced riders tackling more challenging routes at different paces. Just advise your instructor if you want to go slower or faster. As you ride, soak in the beautiful scenery. Weave through open fields and plantations, passing through rivers (if water level permitting) and spotting different tropical birds and flowers. After your trek, you will be greeted by your host with freshly squeezed lemonade or other tropical juice.
